Meet Kaka

Kaka Ray is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in brain-based treatments and trauma resolution in Nashville, Tennessee. She is passionate about helping her clients integrate difficult parts of their stories and become healthier, more whole versions of themselves. Over the past 20 years, she has constantly sought the most effective methods for psychotherapy, adopting brain-based, research-driven methods to meet her clients’ needs.

Since launching her career in 2000, Kaka has earned a national reputation for her ability to diffuse crises quickly and help clients move beyond coping to heal effectively from trauma. She now maintains her Nashville-based private practice and owns Tennessee Neurofeedback, a local neurotherapy clinic that specializes in QEEG brain maps and neurofeedback training.

Managing Crisis

Kaka restores her clients to optimal functioning by diffusing psychological stress, reducing emotional barriers, and addressing unresolved trauma.

As an expert in trauma and human systems, Kaka works in short, intensive sessions to prevent and manage crises. In turn, she creates highly functional individuals, teams and organizations. The model of intensive sessions coupled with cutting edge brain-based treatments such as brainspotting and neurofeedback is proven to make the therapeutic engagement much more efficient and effective.

Ongoing education

Kaka is certified in brainspotting, an innovative treatment in brain-based therapy used for trauma resolution and performance enhancement. She is master-trained and supervised by David Grand, Phd, who discovered and developed the brainspotting technique.

Kaka is also trained in neurofeedback, a neuro-therapy treatment for brain disregulation including anxiety, depression, attention deficits, behavior disorders, PTSD and emotional trauma disturbances. She is mentored by Rob Longo, LPC/NCC, and is a Board Certified Neurotherapist.
